About

Hello, I’m Kirsten

A qualified reflexologist and the founder of Sole Nourishment. My practice began with a simple belief: when we give the body time and skilled, caring touch, it remembers how to heal itself. My work has always centred around people and the art of service. I love connecting with others and believe that genuine connection is a vital part of a balanced, healthy life. Sole Nourishment grew from a desire to create something meaningful — a calm, welcoming space where every client feels truly cared for.

I’m trained in reflexology and holistic bodywork and continue to deepen my understanding of anatomy, energy flow, and natural wellness traditions. Each treatment is thoughtfully tailored to you. I listen with care, honour your unique needs, and work with a calm, grounding presence so your nervous system can soften and restore. My intention is to offer more than a moment of relaxation — but a lasting sense of harmony and wellbeing.

I offer sessions from my space in True North Wellbeing Hub — a calm, grounded environment where you can fully rest and replenish.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy that works on the principle that the feet, hands, and ears reflect all parts of the body. By applying skilled, nurturing pressure to these reflex points, energy pathways are encouraged to open and flow more freely.

This process invites the body into a state of deep relaxation, helping to ease tension, restore balance, and support its natural healing abilities. Reflexology treats the person as a whole — body, mind, and spirit — encouraging harmony and a lasting sense of wellbeing.

What to Expect During a Treatment

Every treatment at Sole Nourishment is designed to be a gentle, restorative experience — here’s what you can expect when you come for a session.

Each session begins with a brief consultation so I can understand your needs and how you’re feeling on the day. You’ll then be invited to lie back, fully clothed except for your feet, and simply rest while gentle pressure is applied to specific reflex points.

Many people find the experience deeply calming — it’s common to drift into a relaxed, meditative state. Some clients feel tingling, warmth, or waves of energy as the body begins to unwind. Afterward, you may feel refreshed, lighter, or more grounded as your system returns to balance.

If you’d like to experience the calming, restorative benefits of reflexology, I invite you to book a session at Sole Nourishment. Each treatment is tailored to your unique needs, offering a moment of pause, balance, and renewed energy — a gentle way to nurture your body, mind, and spirit.

How Reflexology May Support You

Reflexology encourages the body to return to its natural state of balance and ease. Through deep relaxation and improved circulation, it can support many aspects of wellbeing, including:

  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Promoting deep relaxation and better sleep
  • Supporting healthy circulation and energy flow
  • Encouraging hormonal balance and emotional wellbeing
  • Calming the nervous system
  • Soothing muscular tension and fatigue
  • Supporting digestive comfort
  • Enhancing overall vitality and resilience

Each person experiences reflexology differently — some notice subtle shifts, while others feel more tangible changes such as improved sleep, calmness, or renewed energy.

Aftercare & Post-Treatment Guidance

After your reflexology session, allow yourself a little time to rest and fully absorb the calming, restorative effects. Treat yourself gently — avoid strenuous activity and give your body space to settle.

Drink plenty of water to support your body’s natural rhythms and help flush out any lingering tension. Limiting caffeine or alcohol for a few hours can also help maintain this sense of ease.

Everyone experiences reflexology in their own way. You may feel deeply relaxed, refreshed and energised, or even sleepy and mellow. Some gentle, temporary responses are normal and show your body is responding, such as:

  • Feeling thirsty or needing to urinate more
  • Mild digestive changes
  • Headache, light-headedness, or emotional release
  • Loosening of muscular tension or easing of aches
  • A sense of calm, clarity, or improved sleep

These effects usually pass within 24–48 hours. Listen to your body, rest as needed, and enjoy the lingering sense of balance and wellbeing. If you notice anything unusual, or have any questions about your experience, please don’t hesitate to contact me or mention it at your next session — your comfort and care are always my priority.
